Learning Temporal-Spatial Spectrum Reuse
We formulate and study a multi-user multi-armed bandit (MAB) problem that exploits the temporal-spatial opportunistic spectrum access (OSA) of primary user (PU) channels so that secondary users (SUs) who do not interfere with each other can make use of the same PU channel. We first propose a centralized channel allocation policy that has logarithmic regret, but requires a central processor to s...
متن کاملA Novel Technique for Steganography Method Based on Improved Genetic Algorithm Optimization in Spatial Domain
This paper devotes itself to the study of secret message delivery using cover image and introduces a novel steganographic technique based on genetic algorithm to find a near-optimum structure for the pair-wise least-significant-bit (LSB) matching scheme. A survey of the related literatures shows that the LSB matching method developed by Mielikainen, employs a binary function to reduce the numbe...
متن کاملImproved Channel Access in Network Assisted WLAN Deployments
Recent progress in radio technology allows us to develop novel network architectures and topologies. Following the studies on IEEE 802.11 channel access optimization, author presents an approach for the implementation of network-assisted access parameters distribution. In this work it is shown how cellular network can be used to manage WLAN connections.
متن کاملCollision-free Operation in High Density WLAN Deployments
WiFi’s popularity has led to crowded scenarios composed of many Access Points (AP) and clients, often operating on overlapping channels, producing interference that gravely degrades performance. This misallocation of resources is often the result of multiple WLANs ownership, that is, networks are frequently setup automatically without considering neighbouring APs. In this work we overview the e...
متن کاملInterference Reduction in High Density WLAN Deployments using antenna Selection
In this work, we present a novel, robust scheme for high density WLAN deployments. This scheme uses well known selection diversity at the transmitter. We show that our scheme increases the number of simultaneous transmissions at any given time without excessive overhead (compared to other schemes such as Multi-user MIMO). Furthermore, this scheme can be easily implemented using existing standards.
